We have teamed up with Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to launch a brand new Nurse of the Year award.

Categories include Nurse of the Year, Children’s Nurse of the Year, Nursing Team of the Year and Midwive of the Year, with one winner each being selected from King’s Mill Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital.

Susan Bowler, Executive Director of Nursing and Quality, said: “There is some excellent work being undertaken by our nurses and midwives here at Sherwood Forest Hospitals and we would be proud to see this recognised through these awards.

“This is a great opportunity to be able to celebrate that work and recognise our staff for their commitment and care, particularly at a time when the trust has experienced a number of challenges.

“As nurses and midwives we are the profession that is often with patients at their most vulnerable time, like the middle of the night, and we always aim to deliver high quality compassionate care, which help the patients on their road to recovery.
