Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire bus and train updates: February

ON the buses there are very few changes to report except from 24th February the trent barton ‘nines’ services from Mansfield to Alfreton and Derby will have a revised timetable.

The bus company Premiere Buses has ceased trading and this may affect people in the southern part of the Chad area.

Trent barton are exchanging some prepaid Premiere tickets, but for a limited period only.

For further details, please check with the trent barton driver or at the trent barton travel shop at Broad Marsh Bus Station in Nottingham.

On the trains East Midlands trains are offering group travel tickets at special prices - If you are travelling in a group of three or four passengers, a GroupSave ticket is available on selected routes.

GroupSave tickets can be bought for the price of two adult tickets. Popular routes include Mansfield to Nottingham and Newark to Lincoln. Extra children can travel for a flat fare of £1.

East Coast Trains are offering a similar saving for groups of three to nine people.

If you ask for the East Coast Advance Fare tickets , you can save one third on the price of each ticket. These tickets can only be booked online.
