Notts: Yellow ice warning issued for region
A yellow warning has been issued by the met office of ice across the East Midlands.
Outbreaks of rain will clear to scattered showers by Friday evening with temperatures then falling quickly allowing icy stretches to develop on untreated surfaces, especially where sheltered from the westerly winds.
Showers will become increasingly wintry overnight.
The public should be aware of the risk of icy stretches on roads and pavements.
