The parents of nine-year-old Hucknall twins Freddie and Louie Dawkins, who suffer from Batten Disease, have set-up an online auction as part of their amazing fundraising drive which has reached more than £62,000.
Andrew Dawkins and Sarah Finney are campaigning to fund research into the late infantile variant CLN5. As the brothers have grown up, the disease has caused them a number of health problems, including the loss of their sight, speech and mobility.
The website www.jumblebee.co.uk/battlebattenauction, will allow more people to help Freddie and Louie and be in with a chance to win a number of fantastic prizes. The auction is due to finish at midnight, Saturday 29th November.
Andrew said: “It’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are to everyone who has supported us. We have been overwhelmed by the many prizes that have been donated to help us increase our fundraising total.”
