The NottAlone website, which offers mental health support and signposting, is now here to help anyone of any age in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, writes Maxine Bunn, system delivery director for mental health and children at the ICB.

NottAlone was originally launched for children and young people in 2021.

Following its success, the website has recently been redeveloped to become the go-to place for anyone who is looking for mental health support regardless of how old they are.

It also provides help to anyone who is looking for mental health signposting and support for someone else – it might be for a friend or family member, or a person they work with in a professional capacity.

However, every step of the project has had input from local people and community groups – many of whom have lived experience of mental health struggles – to ensure everything feels right for the people of Nottinghamshire.

When you visit the website for the first time, you will be asked if you are looking for support for themselves or for someone else.

Your answer determines the content you are shown on the website, with clever functionality built-in to determine age-appropriate content, meaning that children and young people continue to have a bespoke experience.
