Patients invited to have their say about King’s Mill Hospital

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting patients to share their experiences in the NHS.

A series of ‘In Your Shoes’ meetings will be held this month as part of an organisation-wide initiative which aims to improve the quality of every patient’s experience.

Patients will have the opportunity to meet nurses, doctors, managers and other healthcare staff and tell them about their real-life experiences face to face.

Susan Bowler, executive director of nursing and quality, urged people to come forward and speak openly.

She said: “We are really keen to listen to the experience and views of our patients, whether they have had a positive experience or whether they feel there is room for improvement.”

The events will last about two hours, and travel costs, including parking, will be paid and refreshments provided.

The workshops will be in Lecture Theatre 2, King’s Mill Hospital on Thursday 10th October from 5.30 to 7.30pm, the next day from 9.30am to 12 noon, Tuesday 15th October from 9.30am to 12noon and Thursday 17th October 2-4.30pm. For details call 01623 672371 or email [email protected]
