The production created by national company Frozen Charlotte has been made with under-4s in mind, but is suitable for all the family.

The performance takes place using informal seating and features fun activities, including penguin-themed colouring, Twister, a discovery trail, photo boards and an indoor picnic area.

Families can also bring cuddly penguins to sit on the icebergs, or children can run around the park to burn off some energy.

To enter a free competition for a family ticket, people can look for Penguina Penguin at the Hall’s Spring Food Fest on 13th April and take her photograph, then paste it on the Hall’s facebook page.

“We are very excited to be part of the East Midlands Children’s Theatre and Dance Network, which will enable us to bring high quality national and international children’s theatre and dance to Thoresby over the next three years,” said manager James Parkinson.

Show times are 11am and 1.30pm with tickets at £7 each and a family ticket price of £21 for up to four people, where under-1s go free.

A Hiccup Theatre performance of Michael Rosen’s Pinocchio for those aged four upwards and their families follows from 4th June.
