It will be slightly different from last year's service as this time, organisers are dividing Hucknall into three areas and collecting from a different area each week.

This will make it more manageable for the firefighters and those sorting the food.

The collections will take place on the second, third and fourth Mondays of the month, starting on Monday, April 12.

You can register for a collection by emailing [email protected], giving your name, address and, most importantly, your postcode.

The food bank will then email you back telling you which week your collection will be.

Yvonne Campbell, from the food bank, said: "We decided to restart Hucknall Donates because many people asked about starting it again and it makes it easier for people who want to donate as they can put together food when they go shopping and have it collected from their home.

"It helps with sense of community, especially with the firemen collecting the food.

"It also means we have a regular supply of food coming into the food bank.

"This was especially important during the first lockdown as we were having a great deal of problems getting food and we relied heavily on these donations to feed those in need.

"I would like to thank everyone who has so generously supported the food bank in the past and hope that they will continue in the future."

The food bank has also produced a list of the food items it is particularly looking for right now.

These are: Rice puddings, custard, coffee, brown sauce, sugar, barbecue sauce, honey, syrup, hot dogs, sardines, drinking chocolate, flavoured noodles, milk, chocolate spread, squash, washing powder, toilet rolls, meat or fish paste, washing up liquid, shampoo, conditioner, bacterial cleaning spray, crisps, tinned meat and microwave sponge puddings.

The food bank is based at Vine Terrace in Hucknall and support and donations are always welcome.
