Coun Phil Rostance, district councillor for Hucknall West, said: “I’ve been receiving a number of calls and emails regarding the vaccine roll out in Hucknall and have been given the following updates from Public health and the Clinical Commissioning Group.
“All over 80’s should now have received their letter of how and where to book their vaccination.

“All Hucknall care homes will receive the vaccine by Sunday, January 24.
"GP’s should soon be able to administer the vaccine from their practices for more localised vaccinations in Hucknall, more information on this coming soon.
“If you know anyone over the age of 80 who hasn’t received their letter or is having trouble getting booked in then please get in touch and I’ll do my best to help.”
Nottinghamshire is on track to vaccinate all over 80s and care home residents/staff by January 24, and the county is also on track to vaccinate all the top four cohorts by the Prime Minister’s deadline of mid-February.

A roving service and a patient transport service will vaccinate the housebound and support those without access to transport, supporting good uptake.
There are now nine vaccination sites in the county, with three being in Ashfield
Mark Spencer, MP for Sherwood, said: “By the end of this week, the aim is to have all over 80's across Nottinghamshire receive their letters inviting them to have their free covid-19 vaccine.
“So far, vaccination centres have been established at King's Mill Hospital, Queen's Medical Centre, City Hospital, Ashfield Health Village, Cripps Health Centre, Gamston Community Centre, Kings Meadow Campus, Richard Herrod Leisure Centre and Newark Showground.

“This should cover the county and mean that no-one is reasonably too far from a place to receive their vaccine.
“Please be patient, the NHS will contact you when it is your turn for the vaccine, if you contact the NHS instead, you may take up time that could be spent supporting the delivery of the vaccine.”
