Young man charged after several street robberies and burglaries in Nottinghamshire

It is alleged a 14-year-old boy was pushed and knocked to the ground before his bike was taken in Bestwood County Park in Moor Road, Bestwood, at around 3.40pm on July 4.
Another alleged robbery happened in Bentinck Street, Sutton, on July 2 when two teenagers, aged 16 and 18, were reportedly threatened and both had their bikes taken from them.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of robbery on Wednesday.

Hide AdThey were further arrested in relation to two burglaries after a house in Midlame Gardens, Bulwell, was broken into overnight on June 29 and a handbag, purse, jewellery and car keys were taken before the vehicle was stolen from the driveway.
A car was stolen in similar circumstances from Linette Close, Sherwood Rise, overnight on June 1 along with a smart tablet.
As a result of enquiries, Bradley Dennis Parker, 20, of no fixed abode, has subsequently been charged with two counts of robbery, burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and fraud.
He has been remanded to appear at court at a date yet to be confirmed.

Hide AdDetective Sergeant Matt Dumbrell, of Nottinghamshire Police’s criminal investigation department, said: “We’ve been carrying out robust enquiries in since these incidents happened which has now resulted in one man being charged in connection to them.
“Burglaries and robberies are taken extremely seriously and we will always carry out a thorough investigation in a bid to uncover who may be responsible,
“To be victim to an incident like this can be extremely distressing and we won't tolerate these crimes in Nottinghamshire.”
