GENDER segregation seems to be the keynote in this addition to our PHOTO ALBUM MEMORIES this week.
The picture, dated about 1951, was taken at Hucknall National School on Montgue Road, with all the girls on the left and all the boys on the right.
The photo belongs to Hazel Clarke (nee Hayward) (74), of Salterford Road, Hucknall. Her brother, Paul (72), who now lives in Cornwall, is fourth from the right on the second row from the front.
The girls are dressed for their cookery class while the boys were given metalwork and woodwork lessons.
