Planners grant more time for Mansfield homes

Proposals to build homes on a site currently occupied by a car dealership in Mansfield have been given more time by planners.

The land on Sutton Road was given planning permission for 41 homes in 2010, but work is yet to begin and
the application recently expired.

The Pentagon Vauxhall garage is now on the site, but there are hopes that the houses could be built.

The application was submitted on behalf of the Oakhill Group Ltd, and proposes a mixture of one, two and three bedroomed units, each between two and three storeys high.

Under planning obligations, 20 per cent of the houses would be affordable.

A spokesman for the planning officers said: “There have been no material changes in circumstances which would suggest an extension should not be granted.”

Planners at Mansfield District Council agreed unanimously to extend planning permission.
