Plans announced to tackle Bulwell parking problem

Action to deal with a parking problem at an old people’s flats complex on Bulwell’s Snape Wood estate.

Metal gates and fencing are proposed for the entrance to a car-parking area at Snapenook Court.

Members of Nottingham City Council’s Bulwell and Bulwell Forest Area Committee were told that the estimate cost of the work would be £4,300.

A report said the gates and fencing would increase security to the complex and car park, as well as preventing non-residents from using the car park.

Other proposals include dropped kerbs being put on each side of the entrance to a garage area on Colston Road, Bulwell.

The committee was told the kerbs, costing £1,700, would benefit a local resident with a mobility scooter.
