Police set to hold press conference about missing Mansfield girl Amber Peat

Police are set to hold a press conference this morning with an update in their investigation into the disappearance of Mansfield teenager, Amber Peat.

The youngster, who is just 13, has been missing for almost three days.

She was last seen at her Bosworth Street home in the town at 5.30pm on Saturday night.

It is understood that she stormed out after a family argument, but took no money or her mobile phone with her.

More than 100 local people joined search parties yesterday in a bid to trace the youngster.

They knocked on people’s doors, handing out printed posters and leaflets, and searched parks and wooded areas.

They are expecting to head out again today.

Amber is described as white with long dark brown hair. She is around 4ft tall and of a petite build with brown eyes and a tiny scar above her lip. She was last seen wearing a black Puma zip up top, purple trainers and blue jeans.
