Police are warning cyclists in Bulwell to lock up their bikes and mopeds after a recent spate of thefts and shed break-ins.
PCSO Hazel Foley 4983 said: “There has been an recent spate of break-ins to sheds and outbuildings in the Bulwell Forest and Rise Park areas.
“We have also seen thefts and attempted theft of cycles, motorbikes and mopeds.
“The best advice we can provide is to make sure your property is secure as much as is practical. Try to avoid leaving motorcycles in view of the road and try to park in garages where possible. If a garage is not an option there are ground anchors you can purchase to bolt and secure bikes to.”
She also suggested outside lighting or motion sensor lighting or a bike anchor (pictured).
