A portrait of Nottingham’s Lord Mayor, Bulwell councillor Jackie Morris, was unveiled at a charity ball which she hosted at the Council House.

The picture was painted by Marialuisa Marino, of Mill House, which is next to the historic Greens Mill at Sneinton.

The ball was sponsored by local businesses and raised more than £4,000 for the Lord Mayor’s charities, Nottingham Deaf Society and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Jackie said she was delighted with the portrait and she described the ball as a big highlight of her year as Lord Mayor.
