Poundworld are set to open a new shop in Sutton which will create 30 jobs.
The retailer will open the one-price store in the Idlewells Shopping Centre.
Centre manager at the Idlewells Shopping Centre commented: “We are delighted to be welcoming the new Poundworld store to Idlewells this month, not just because we’re providing our customers with even more retail bargains, but its arrival has created around 30 new jobs in our community.”
As part of opening weekend celebrations, customers will be given the chance to ‘meet the Minions’ in store during their opening on Thursday 23rd April, running until Sunday 26th April.
The opportunity to meet the characters from the new 3-D film ahead of its release in June marks the launch of Poundworld’s range of Minions merchandise available in store.
Mariola Rogowska, store manager at Poundworld, said: “We’re excited to be opening a new store in the Idlewells.
“We have some incredible deals on offer on leading brands and seasonal items including summer holiday and gardening products.
“We hope local shoppers will come down to see how much they can save.”
The family-run retailer was set up in 2004 and has over 280 stores across the UK.
It will open its doors on Thursday 23rd April, at 10am.
It is located in the Idlewells Centre next to Heron Foods.
The new store will span four existing empty units.
This comes as part of Ashfield District council plants to regenerate Sutton and Kirkby.
