Prolific shoplifter (22) jailed

A SHOPLIFTER from Bulwell has been jailed for 50 weeks after owning up to a series of thefts across Nottingham.

Kelly Dennis (22), of Logan Street, pleaded guilty to a total of 12 offences. Nottingham Magistrates Court heard they were committed while she was on a community order which involved drug rehabilitation.

Thefts in Bulwell between September last year and February this year included £63.45 worth of tinned tuna from the Co-op on Highbury Road; washing powder worth £29.96 from B&M Bargains in the town centre; cheese worth £77.22 from Heron Foods on Main Street; and meat worth £47.26 from Tesco on Jennison Street.
