Pub’s pyjama party for charity

A PYJAMA party is to be held at a Bulwell pub tomorrow (Saturday) to raise cash for sufferers of breast and prostate cancer.

The Framesmiths Arms, which is known as ‘The Monkey’, will ask regulars to climb into their ‘PJs’ and nightdresses in aid of cancer wards at Nottingham City Hospital.

Attractions at the Main Street pub will include karaoke, a raffle, tombola and an auction, with the top prize of 50 pints of beer!

Those who pull on their pyjamas will also hit the streets of the town to visit other pubs and local businesses to collect on behalf of the cause.

Regulars at the Framesmiths chose the cancer wards as the beneficiary of the charity stunt.

Earlier this year, ‘The Monkey’ swung into action to raise more than £1,800 for cancer patients and ill babies with a footballers and WAGs-themed fun day.

The event proved a huge success, with customers sporting some outrageous fancy-dress outfits!

The money went to the Hayward House hospice in Nottingham for patients with terminal cancer and also to the neo-natal unit at the City Hospital.
