Pye Hill trip to Norfolk a high note
The Pye Hill and District group has a proud history dating back to 1903 when it was formed by colliery workers.
Down the years there have been almost 100 first places in competitions and the tradition of high standards remained for the early May Bank Holiday trip to the coast.

Staying in Great Yarmouth, the choir performed on Saturday at Holy Trinity and All Saints Parish Church, Winterton-on-Sea and on Sunday at the Holy Trinity Parish Church, Caister-on-Sea.
The programme for the concerts included ‘Stout Hearted Men’, ‘You Raise Me Up’, ‘The Rose’, ‘The Water of Tyne’ and ‘The Kings of Swing’.
A good range of solos were provided by Dave Gibbon, Bill Walker, Frank Akers, Rosemary Jones, Dave Braithwaite and Colin Dutton, who dedicated ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ to late son Robert.
The choir also performed this Saturday evening at Forest Town Methodist Church’s 109th anniversary.
