Raiders strike at village shop

A TEENAGER was punched in the face when raiders stole cash and cigarettes from a shop in Bestwood Village.

Four men entered OJ’s Thoroughgoods Store and Post Office on Park Road at 10.15 pm on Friday May 25.

They attacked the 19-year-old shop assistant, who was closing up at the time, and fled with the shop’s entire stock of cigarettes.

The offenders are described as white and in their 20s. They were wearing dark, hooded tracksuits.
