The Milton Court library opened on Friday - four days ahead of schedule - after five weeks of work to replace and upgrade the ceiling and lighting.
Around £10,000 was invested in redecorating the library - introducing new furniture and a carpet - during the planned works.
Nottinghamshire County Council has thanked villagers for their patience during the work.
