Breach

Kenny James Stevenson (24) of Thoresby Road, Rainworth, admitted breaching a community order. He was given new and varied requirements including a curfew for three months with electronic monitoring.

Ralph John Adey (51) of Slant Lane,Mansfield Woodhouse failed to comply with notifications requirements as an offender under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. He admitted he stayed overnight in excess of seven nights at three addresses in Nottingham and failed to register the addresses with the police. He also failed to surrender to custody at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail in criminal proceedings. He was committed to prison for 26 weeks.

Scott Spencer (48) of Cardinal Way, Clipstone Village, Mansfield admitted failing to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order. A suspended sentence imposed for the offence of assault by beating was varied. The defendant was committed to prison for four months suspended for 12 months and must comply with an unpaid work requirement of 20 hours.

Andrew Geoffrey Johnson (25) of Elton Close, Mansfield, admitted breaching a suspended sentence order. He was fined £50.

Drink Driving

Wayne Javan Bacon (36) of Derbyshire Drive, Westwood, admitted he failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when suspected of having driven a vehicle. He was fined £600, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay costs of £85 and victim surcharge of £60.

Drugs

Liam Christopher James Rick (36) of Drayton Avenue, Mansfield, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. The offence was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence order for an offence of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He was committed to prison for 30 days suspended for 12 months, with a victim surcharge of £60. A community order was made to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

Alcohol

Stephen Daniel Hyatt (29) of Ravensdale Road, Mansfield pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place, for which he was fined £40. He also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail in criminal proceedings, for which he was fined £20 with a victim surcharge of £20.

Harassment

David Timothy Wright (33) of Mapplewells Crescent, Sutton, admitted using threatening abusive or insulting words or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment. He was fined £50, with costs of £30 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Andrew Geoffrey Johnson (25) of Elton Close, Mansfield was found guilty of using threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour causing harassment alarm or distress, to Michael and Julie Hadley. He was given a six weeks curfew requirement with electronic monitoring and an unpaid work requirement of 60 hours within the next 12 months. Johnson was ordered to pay compensation of £75 and costs of £100.

Violence

Martin Rigley (49) of Edward Street, Kirkby pleaded guilty to assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty. He was committed to prison for 28 days.

Ryszard Czubkowski (62) of Little Barn Gardens, Mansfield, pleaded guilty to assault. He was ordered to comply with a supervision requirement and to pay compensation of £400, costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Kie David Dennis Taylor (28) of no fixed abode,stole clothing to the value of £72 belonging to Peacocks in Mansfield. Taylor was found guilty of assaulting Dewaine Marston, a security guard in the course of his employment to evade detection for theft. The offences were committed the day after a suspended sentence order had been imposed on Taylor for the offences of theft of a motor vehicle and driving while disqualified. A suspended sentence of imprisonment of eight weeks suspended for 12 months was implemented and Taylor was given a total prison sentence of 108 days.

Jade Thomas Daffin (26) of Central Avenue, Kirkby, was found guilty on 3rd June at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court of assaulting Jade Tilstone by beating her. Daffin also changed his not guilty plea to guilty for an offence of entering as a trespasser to a building in Kirkby and stealing mountain bikes, a golf trolley and motorbike leathers and helmet to the value of around £1150. He elected a summary trial and was remanded on bail to appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on 2nd July.

Theft

Tara Gemma Louise Gregory (24) of Brand Lane, Stanton Hill, Sutton admitted stealing meat products valued at £15 from Tesco Express, Sutton and meat products worth £25 from Coop, Sutton. She also admitted failing to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order. A suspended sentence of imprisonment of 21 weeks suspended for 12 months imposed by Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court was implemented.

Stuart Gordon (36) of Outram Street, Sutton pleaded guilty to stealing a flat screen TV valued at £129 from ASDA superstore and a flat screen TV valued at £139 from ASDA superstore. A community order was made with a supervision requirement. He was ordered to pay compensation of £129 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Sean Lee Carlin (39) of Hobhouse Road, Mansfield, pleaded guilty to stealing cable to the value of £216 belonging to Western Power. He also pleaded guilty of possessing cannabis. He was discharged conditionally and ordered to pay compensation of £72 and victim surcharge of £15. The drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.

Tyson Robert Clark (22) of Teal Avenue, Mansfield, stole computer games to the value of £311 from ASDA supermarket at Forest Town, Mansfield. A community order with a supervision requirement was made, with an unpaid work requirement of 120 hours within the next 12 months. He was fined £60 and ordered to pay costs of £85.

Richard Luke Dowdall (23) of Rosemary Street, Mansfield, pleaded guilty to stealing two DVD box sets to the value of £15.98 from Beales. He also admitted stealing four cans of lager worth £4 from Iceland. In addition he pleaded guilty to stealing two sets of curtains valued at £69.98 from B and M Home store. He also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail in criminal proceedings. He was bailed until June 12 to undergo an assessment for dependency on class A drugs and participate in any follow up assessment assistance or treatment.
