Residents urged to share views on plans to tackle anti social behaviour in Shirebrook.

Shirebrook residents are being invited to voice their opinions on proposals for a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in the town.

Local police are working alongside Bolsover District Council in a bid to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) in public places.

The plans in the order cover an area of Shirebrook with restrictions including:

* No consumption of alcohol;

* No unsealed vessels containing alcohol within the market place of Shirebrook;

* No urinating;

* No littering;

* Not to congregate in groups of 2 or more persons within the alleyways which lead to Shirebrook market place.

If the plans get the go ahead and offenders are seen to be breaking any of the above restrictions, enforcement can be undertaken by council officers, police officers and PCSOs.

Residents have until Monday, August 3 to have their say on the plans.
