Robin Hood will be pulling on tights to join forces with the Babes in the Wood in the show which will run on Wednesday 4th, Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December at 7pm in the school’s Hillcrest Hall.

Auditions took place in September and now students have been working hard in rehearsals and learning their lines.

“I’m very excited about the role and the play but a little bit nervous as showtime approaches,” said Yr11 pupil, Kelly McGhee, who is playing the lead role of Robin Hood.

The cast has been involved in three rehearsals a week during lunchtimes and after school to take part in the play written by Becky Morris, Community Arts Liaison and Events Manager at the school.

“I am looking forward to opening night but it has been great fun and given us the chance to mix with students from all age groups,” added Frank Burbage who plays Robin Hood’s best friend Little Don.

The panto is an original script with a mixture of tunes that will be familiar to most but with new lyrics. The school band will also accompany the singers.

Tickets are priced at adults £3, concessions £2.50 with a family ticket priced at £10 for two adults and up to three children. The can be purchased from the Hillcrest reception at Holgate or Hucknall library.
