Barry Found, Principal, said: “The Samworth Church Academy has now been officially judged as a “Good” school for the first time in the history of the Academy and its predecessor school. We are particularly pleased as the new Ofsted framework which has been implemented since September 2014, is even more demanding and rigorous than any that has gone before. This is a significant achievement and would not have been possible without support from parents, governors and of course our students. The students have had a significant role to play in the way in which they have adapted to recent changes and continue to do so as we make further improvements on our journey towards outstanding.”

The report said students now make good progress across a wide range of subjects including English and mathematics.

Leaders make good use of strong partnerships with other schools to share expertise and training opportunities, consequently, the quality of teaching is improving strongly.
