Office manager Grace Hallam said: “The charge to see Santa will be £2 per child and every child will receive a gift. Photographs will also be available if required for £3. There will also be a wish tree priced at 20p a wish - again all going to charity.”

Free mince pies and hot drinks will be available for the adults.

Manager Jackie West purchased gifts for the children. She said: “If it works well this year, we will expand on the idea and have a themed display area as well.”

“The grotto is going to look very festive as we will have all our Christmas trees on display. Louise from the store will be dressed as an elf and Teddy, my shih tzu cross, is going to be dressed up as one of one of Santa’s little helpers. He dresses up every year!”
