SATURDAY night is music night at The Yew Tree where a great party atmosphere is created.

Many different types of music are catered for at this Nottingham Road pub and live music venue in Hucknall.

Tomorrow night, Saturday December 1, the stage is set for a Motown, Scar and Soul night with many hits from the sixties and seventies earmarked for the dance floor.

Saturday December 8 is Funk and Soul night while local band Stagefright will be entertaining the crowd on Friday December 21.

Be sure not to miss these great nights out and put the dates in your diary today.

“Our weekends are a great time to visit The Yew Tree and are very popular with our regulars and newcomers,” said landlady Jackie Burton who has been based here for 18 months. “We always have a good crowd who have fun at our events.

“Stagefright is a terrific band who play rock covers from the Killers to Stereophonics and it promises to be a great way to celebrate Christmas and get into the party spirit.”

All the events at The Yew Tree are free and drinks are very competitively priced.

“Our real ale selection is a big attraction and so are our prices,” added Jackie. “We always have about three real ale bitters on offer and serve local favourite Lincoln Green. All priced at £2.60.”

Other favourites include Carling lager at £2.65, Fosters at £2.60 and John Smiths at £2.40 with Yorkshire bitter and mild at just £1.90.

Jackie added: “We wish all our customers both old and new a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to serving you over the festive season.”

Whether it is a night of partying you are looking for or a quiet mid-week drink with mates, try out The Yew Tree where you will always be made welcome.
