Youngsters from feeder schools Crescent, Farmilo and St Peter’s Church of England, along with the Academy’s ‘triple science’ group, got involved thanks to a grant received from the British Science Association.

The session explored dry ice, the Northern Lights and allowed the students to create their very own ‘flubber monsters’.

School reporters from Queen Elizabeth’s, along with post-16 media students, covered and reported on the event for BBC school report, an educational project that gives students a chance to learn and improve their skills in text, audio and filming.
