Callan Woodham, 28, of Hartington Drive, admitted refusing to leave the premises of the Stag and Pheasant pub on Clumber Street.

Woodham was refused entry for being too drunk, but would not move from the area.

Mansfield Magistrates’ heard how he had sworn at staff and police officers and told them “I’m not going anywhere”.

According to Marjorie Kirkham-Smith, prosecuting, he had already being ejected from the nearby Rush Late Bar for being “abusive to the door staff”.

Defending himself, Woodham said: “I was drunk and disorderly and that’s about it really.”

Lead magistrate Elaine Konieczny said: “This is going to be a very expensive offence for you and hopefully is will teach you a lesson.”

Woodham was ordered to pay a total of £405 to the court.

Mrs Konieczny added: “Be very careful in the future.

“This was in the town centre and it was alcohol fuelled - you don’t want to have to do this on any more occasions.”
