More than a thousand people turned up to twist and shout at Mansfield market place on Friday evening.
Vintage stalls took over the markets in the town centre on Friday, as the town hall was being set up for a 1950s Rock n Roll dance.
The events, organised by Mansfield BID, ran from 8pm until 10.30pm and saw just over a thousand guests, many of whom looked the part in ‘vintage’ 1950s outfits.
Classic American cars and memorabilia were on display and there were a range of competitions and activities.
Sarah Nelson, manager of Mansfield BID, said: “We have had terrific feedback about the event and it was fantastic to see so many people in the town centre.
“It was good to see young and old getting involved in the competitions.
“And people really enjoyed the rock n roll dance.”
