SOLAR ECLIPSE: Nottinghamshire skies to be plunged into darkness
The skies above Nottinghamshire will be darkened next month during the first partial solar eclipse in 16 years.
About 90 per cent of the sun’s rays will be blocked out by the moon on Friday 20th March during the rare astronomical event.
The eclipse will last about two hours from 8.40am. The next one will not be until 2026.
