Mary’s meals is a global movement setting up school feeding projects in some of the world’s poorest communities where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education.

The charity provides one daily meal in a place of learning to attract chronically poor children into a classroom where they receive an education that can in the future be their ladder out of poverty. Rita Hallsworth, Sorpotomist media officer said: “ Currently the Charity provides 960,000 children with a daily meal. It costs £12.20 to feed a child for a year, which is quite a humbling thought.”
