Hundreds of them will brave the crowded shops in the hopes of snapping up a steal on the biggest shopping day of the year now just days away.

Here’s a brief round up of some major outlets taking part in the event in our region.

Tesco Extra stores will close at 12 am and open again at 5am on Friday.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our Black Friday event was incredibly popular last year so to ensure colleagues have enough time to set up for the event this year,

“We will be closing all participating stores at 12am and reopening them at 5am. This change will allow us to provide the best possible service to help our customers.”

Louise Boerder, store manager at Tesco’s Chesterfield Road Extra in Mansfield added: “We’re looking forward to welcoming customers on Black Friday.

“They’ll be able to find some brilliant deals in our store and my colleagues and I will be on hand to provide great service.”

“For the first two hours of entry, we’ll be limiting the number of customers to 25 at a time so we’d recommend customers wrap up well.”

Mansfield’s Four Seasons is opening from 8am-7pm for 11 hours of exclusive offers across retailers, including Boots, Debenhams, The Perfume Shop and many more.

Idlewells at Sutton is marking Black Friday with its big Christmas Launch. The centre will open from 7am-8pm with free parking for bargain hunters.

Many retailers are staying open late such as Argos, New Look, Poundworld, B&M Bargains and Blue Inc.

Retailers will be offering some big savings such as B&M Bargains who will offer 10per cent off everything after 5pm, plus many other Black Friday specials.

There will also be fun for the kids with the opening of the Snow Globe Grotto, with Santa there from 4-8pm. Ashfield’s first animatronic polar bear act debuts at 5pm.

McArthurGlen East Midlands Designer Outlet at South Normanton is opening from 8am to 8pm on Friday.

Manager of the M&S Outlet Annette Ward said: “As an outlet store a lot of our stock is reduced by 50-60 per cent anyway but we will be having Star Buys with ladies jackets, adult onesies and children’s clothes on special offer.”

Gap Outlet said they were not taking part.

Black Friday deals have started so early at some shops that they have become just extended sales.

Argos and Currys are among the retailers starting Black Friday discounts long before and after November 27 in a bid to grab shoppers’ cash before the big day comes around.

Currys are extending opening hours from Wednesday November 25 to Wednesday December 2.

Argos kicked off Black Friday a week ahead of time, with 10 days of reductions.

Oiscount retailers, Poundstretcher’s sale will runs from Friday to Sunday, leaving the weekend for shoppers to pick up even more discounted products.

Typically expensive items will be discounted, like an Arctic Fur Throw, now £6.99 down from £9.99, and a King Size Memory Foam Mattress, now £99.99 down from £149.99. There’s also a variety of Television Stands, now £19.99 down from £29.99, Bed in a Bag, now £4.99 down from £9.99.

Asda has announced it will not be part of this year’s Black Friday sales frenzy.

The retailer said customer feedback was behind its decision to invest in £26 million of savings for shoppers across the season rather than a one-off day of sales.
