Students turn teachers in work experience programme at Holgate Academy

Year 12 students at Holgate Academy Sixth Form have taken a break from their A level studies to engage in a week long varied programme of work experience.

Placements range from the Maths Faculty of Nottingham University and the Galleries of Justice in the Lace Market, to local care homes, primary and secondary schools, and even a Fitness Gym.

Pictured are Daniel Atherton and Jasmine Mitchell, both of whom are working as teaching assistants across a range of year groups at the Academy.

“They have struck-up a professional rapport with the students who have warmed to their teaching and learning styles,” said Paul Holding.

“They will be sadly missed when they have to resume their studies.”
