On a hot sunny day in June around 400 people took part in a 3km fun run around Sutton Lawn raising money for Cancer Research UK’s life changing research to beat cancer.

Fancy dress was the order of the day with all shades of pink being worn alongside outfits such as bananas, flamingos and Mexican attire.

Runners had written signs and wore T-shirts in memory or support of loved ones which was a very poignant reminder of why they were running.

Event organisers Marie Dymond and Jude Durrant said: “Congratulations to all the staff and students that took part, we are very proud of you. It was a fantastic afternoon and hopefully it will become a regular event at the school.” To date over £7,000 has been raised.
