Sutton man in hospital after two men attack him at his flat

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was attacked by two men in his flat in Sutton last night (Wednesday 14th May).

Police are appealing for witnesses to what is thought to have been a targeted assault at 9pm in Westbourne Road.

The man was taken to King’s Mill Hospital with serious injuries and remains there in a stable condition.

The two men fled in the direction of Carsic Road.

Detective Inspector Rich Monk said: “Incidents like this are uncommon and, in this case, we think it was a targeted attack.

“We are now working to established what exactly happened.

“The men fled in the direction of Carsic Road. Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anything unusual or suspicious? If so, or if you have any information, phone us.”

Enquiries have been made in the area and a cordon remains in place at the scene. Patrols have also been stepped up in the area.
