Sutton mum assaulted cop during bailiff row

Lindsey Parker, 36, admitted the offence when she appeared before magistrates in Mansfield on Wednesday.

The court heard police were called to her home on Elderfield Drive, on July 30, where Parker was screaming at an enforcement officer.

“She said: ‘You have got 30 seconds to get out of my f***ing house before I run a knife through you,’” said Robert Carr, prosecuting.

PC Chantelle McDowall checked the officer’s warrant which allowed him to remove property worth £800 from her partner.

Parker said the goods he was taking belonged to her and her children and continued to shout and scream.

When she grabbed the PC’s arm and elbow and pulled her out of the way to try and reach the enforcement officer, she was arrested.

The police officer said she had been left with pain in the left side of her neck.

Zahra Hussain, mitigating, said: “She said the PC was in the way and was angry and upset that the court officer had started to take her property without showing her the warrant.

“She said: ‘These items belong to me and my children - don’t touch them.’

“She apologises for injuring the officer. This is clearly out of character.”

Parker was fined £100 and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and compensation of £50 to the officer.
