Tanzania trip for students

Students from a Forest Town school have headed to pastures new with a four-week trip to Tanzania.

The students from Garibaldi College headed out to the African country - bordered by Kenya, Mozambique, and Zambia on Saturday 19th July.

Whilst in Tanzania the group will be working on a range of projects including helping to improve education standards for children and taking part in conservation activities to protect wildlife and the environment.

The group will also be taking part in a safari in one of Tanzania’s national parks and an open water diving course.

A school spokesman said: “They’d like to say a big thank you for everybody’s support for this opportunity of a lifetime.”
