Teen injured after Shirebrook pub attack

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was injured at a pub in Shirebrook on New Year’s Eve.

At around 11.15pm on Tuesday 31st December police were called to the Ex-Servicemen’s Club, Carter Lane, following disorder between a group of people inside the premises.

A 16-year-old boy received cuts to his face as a result of being hit over the head from behind with a glass.

He was taken to hospital and received a number of stitches for his injuries.

The victim did not see the person who was responsible.

Police are appealing for anyone who was at the venue at the time and witnessed the incident or has any information about the assault to come forward.
