Teenager hospitalised after hit and run road crash in Kirkby
A motorcyclist left the scene of a collision with a 14-year-old pedestrian.
It happened just before 3.30pm today (Monday) outside Ashfield Fire Station, in Sutton Road, Kirkby.
The girl was taken to King’s Mill Hospital for treatment.
Sutton Road has been closed, between its junctions with Wentworth Road and the A38 while police conduct their enquiries. Motorists are asked to avoid the area, where possible.
