Thief jailed after £5.25 theft breaches suspended sentence

Willem David Brewer of Corporation Street, Mansfield pleaded guilty to stealing a chocolate milkshake worth £1.25 from Iceland Store Mansfield on August 8.

Brewer, 22 also admitted stealing two cans of lager priced £4 from the same store four days earlier.

Magistrates heard he was in breach of a four week suspended prison sentence imposed in June, which they activated to run consecutively with two weeks for each offence. They imposed a criminal court charge of £150 and £5.25 compensation.
