Tributes paid to biker after Forest Town collision.

Tributes have been paid on social media to a motorcyclist killed in a road traffic collision in Forest Town this morning (20th January).

Brett Cooke died this morning after his motorbike collided with a central reservation in Crown Farm Way, Crown Farm Industrial Estate, at around 7.30am.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said that the 27-year-old died on his way to hospital following the accident, in which he sustained serious multiple injuries.

The exact circumstances of Mr Cooke’s death have not been revealed and police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.

Tributes poured on to Mr Cooke’s Facebook page this morning from friends and well-wishers.

Sasha Fletcher wrote: “Another one taken too soon by a bike crash, I hate saying this, but RIP mate. Watch over your loved ones.”

Lucciee Hartley wrote: “Actually hard to believe Brett. It was only the other day you was round at my mums with us all having a drink. Gunna miss you and your funny laugh mate. Such a shame, They always take away the good ones.”

Christopher Carlin wrote: “So sad to hear the truth, just wish it wasn’t. God bless you and all your family in these difficult times and I know you will be watching over them all as you always did.”

Police are urging anyone who saw the crash, or believe they know what happened in the moments leading up to the collision, to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101.

The road was closed while police carried out enquiries.
