TV expert at Kirkby antiques valuation

Television antiques expert Charles Hanson is coming to Kirkby for an antiques valuation event organised by the Rotary Club.

The star of the BBC’s Flog It and Antiques Road Show, who is the principal of Hansons Auctioneers & Valuers, will head the team at Kirkby Rotary’s ‘What’s It Worth’ event on Saturday 15th March.

The event will take place at St Wilfrid’s Church on Church Street, from 10am to 2pm. Doors open at 9.30am.

Having two items valued will cost £3, three items will be £4, and four items £5.

Admission is free and refreshments and a tombola will be available. Proceeds will go to local and national charities supported by the Rotary Club.

Organiser Rotarian Neil Lancashire said: “We have held two “What’s It Worth” events in recent years and they were very successful.

“Now we’re delighted to give local residents another opportunity of having their valuables, antiques and collectibles assessed by a team of top-class experts.

“There’s always the chance that someone may discover they own a priceless object.

“And we’ll be raising funds to donate to worthwhile charities and local good causes.”
