TV star Phil in Mansfield Panto role

Oh yes he is... Coronation Street and Waterloo Road actor Philip Martin Brown will be starring in this year’s Christmas pantomime Aladdin at Mansfield Palace Theatre.

Philip has starred in nine series of the BBC hit series Waterloo Road playing the irritable Grantly Budgen, one of the most commonly appearing and best loved characters in the show’s history.

Philip will be playing the role of Abanazar having enjoyed previous baddie roles as Fleshcreep and Captain Hook also for UK Productions. He said: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Mansfield this Christmas. I love doing panto, there’s no fooling the kids! If it’s a bad show they’ll let you know and if it’s great – apparently I’ll be deaf!”
