CUPID is ready to fire his arrows of love in Hucknall as two caring couples, who have been married for a combined total of more than 100 years, celebrate Valentine’s Day with a romantic meal.
The special treat has been laid onon Friday (February 11) by the Elm Tree House care home on Ogle Street.
The party is for Bob and Janet Haworth and Graham and Mavis Mosley, all of whom are in their 80s.
Bob and Mavis are both residents of the care home.
Staff decided to decorate the venue with heart-shaped balloons and lay on a delicious meal, complete with Valentine’s cake and chocolates, ahead of the big day next Monday.
The celebration is being combined with a raffle to raise money for the home.
Amanda Elliott, of Elm Tree House, said: “It’s wonderful that the couples are still very much in love. It’s great to help them celebrate that.”
