Vet's charity run for Labrador rescue
A Hucknall vet will be putting her best foot forward to help raise funds for a dog charity.
Laura Pearce, who works at the Buckley House practice on West Street, will be in a team to take part in Nottingham’s Robin Hood Half-Marathon in September.
Money raised will go to East Midlands Labrador Rescue, which was founded in 1981. A self-help organisation, run by volunteers, it has successfully re-homed more than 6,000 Labradors.
An offshoot of the charity, Team Edward, was named after a chocolate-coloured Labrador belonging to Wendy Hopewell, of Mansfield, who will also be doing the run.
