VIDEO: Paper people in the market place
Shoppers in Mansfield’s Marketplace did a double take yesterday (Thursday, 5th September) as art and design students paraded their paper people through the town’s centre.
Students on the Foundation Art and Design and Extended Diploma in Art and Design programmes have spent the last two days of their course induction creating paper maché models of real towns’ folk. Over 60 students joined together as part of their induction programme to create the life-sized models of people who they met in Mansfield.
Using newspaper, sellotape and card the learners created the lookalikes. They will spend time making drawings of their creations as part of their classwork.
