The 300 mile trek in protest against privatising the National Health Service has been inspired by the famous Jarrow March of 1936.

The march assembled at King’s Mill Hospital at 10am and moved on to Outram Street, Sutton for a rally.

It is continuing at the moment through Kirkby, Newstead, Hucknall and Bulwell, arriving later at Nottingham Forest Recreation Ground.
