Warning about cold callers in Hucknall

Police have issued a warning about three men using a red Citroen van who have been cold-calling in the Hucknall area offering to clean gutters and fix loose or faulty roof tiles.

Inspector Nick Butler said: “No crime has been committed, but when challenged and told the police would be called they quickly drove off.

“We always advise house owners not to engage cold callers to carry out repairs. You should always select reputable tradesmen yourself and always get quotes from more than one source.”
